  1. This is not as unbelievable as it may seem. The found the same in bmp files last year in the leaked win2k code. I wonder what the result would be if one were to embed the corrupt jpg in a webpage as a standard image though?

  2. We have an example of a jpg that will crash your system upon viewing it. I can’t release the code, but our security practice demoed it for me so that we would know what we are dealing with.
